The most picturesque locations in the Lednice-Valtice region are accessible by bicycle. The route starts from Břeclav and crosses the Dyje floodplain, weaves its way around the Jan Castle to the Minaret, the Lednice chateau, the Temple of the Three Graces, the chateau in Valtice and returns to Břeclav through the Boří Forest via the Rendez-Vous. The entire circuit is 37 kilometres long; and apart from a short climb from Valtice along road N°40 to the gas station, it is flat.

The dominant feature of Valtice is the baroque chateau with a chapel and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The chapel is used for musical productions. The chateau served the Liechtenstein family as a "family house." The chateau's 21 accessible chambers include a princely family museum, newly refurbished halls, and the chateau theatre.

The Wine Salon of the Czech Republic presents a collection of the 100 best Moravian and Czech wines for 2020. However, due to the equality of points in the final evaluation, a total of 100 wines can boast of the prestigious title, which succeeded in the competition of 2,400 wines. These wines are presented throughout the year in the tasting exhibition of the same name in the historic cellar of the Valtice chateau.

You can find an unusual tourist attraction in Valtice since May 2013. A circular route with a length of less than 5 km leads from the neighbouring Austrian village of Schrattenberg to Valtice and to the romantic building of the Colonnade at the highest point of the Lednice-Valtice area.

Finding a town with a better site than Mikulov, which is spread out over the final spurs of Pálava and surrounded by vineyards, would be difficult. It is the vineyards that will tell you that you are in the centre of the Mikulovská wine sub-region, and you will meet wine here literally at every turn - in the picturesque historic streets and at the castle.
